If you are an attorney who would like to use Snapdocs to receive closing opportunities, there are a few ways to easily show companies that you are a licensed attorney.
Indicating That You Are an Attorney on Your My Profile Page
Marking yourself as an attorney is an easy way for companies to see that you are a licensed attorney. To do so, just follow these instructions:
1. Login to your account at app.snapdocs.com.
2. Click on My Profile in the left-hand column.
3. On your My Profile page, scroll down the page until you see the Additional Info box on the right side of the page. There should be a checkbox next to Attorney?
4. Click the check box to indicate that you are an attorney.
5. Click Update Profile in the upper right-hand corner to confirm your updates.
6. If your updates have been successfully saved, you should see a Successfully updated! message appear at the top of your screen.
Upload Your Bar Card
If you'd like to provide proof to companies that you are a licensed attorney, you can upload your bar card. Uploading your credentials is completely optional. However, uploading your credentials demonstrates to hiring companies that you are credentialed and qualified.
Any uploaded credentials are securely stored. All companies that use Snapdocs can only access your non-sensitive credentials, which includes bar cards. For sensitive credentials though, companies can only view them after assigning you to an order. Learn more about who can see your credentials here.
1. Login to your account at app.snapdocs.com.
2. Click Credentials in the left-hand column.
3. If you have already indicated that you are an attorney on your My Profile page, Bar Card should be listed underneath Missing Credentials on the right side of the page. If not already selected, click Bar Card and you should see a form to upload your bar card. Like other credentials, just fill in all required fields, upload your bar card, and click Save to upload the file. Companies can then not only see that you've indicated that you're an attorney, but also see that you have a valid bar card.
4. If you have not yet indicated that you are an attorney on your My Profile page, the ability to upload a bar card will be listed under your optional credentials on the right side of the page. Click Bar Card if you'd like to upload a bar card.
5. If you have not yet indicated that you are an attorney on your My Profile page and clicked Bar Card as shown in the previous step, a box should appear towards the top of your page asking if you are a licensed attorney. Click Yes I am to indicate that you are indeed a licensed attorney and proceed to upload your bar card. Clicking Yes I am also automatically indicates on your My Profile page that you are an attorney.
6. To upload a bar card, just fill in the empty fields, select the file you'd like to upload, and click Save.
7. If your bar card has been successfully uploaded, it should now be listed on your Credentials page.
