Today’s updates bring smarter settlement office search in eClosings, eNote deactivation date in eVault, and improved date interpretation in Funding QC
Today’s updates include:
- eClosings: Smarter settlement office search
- eVault: eNote deactivation date
- Funding QC: Improved Date Interpretation
Smarter settlement office search
We’ve improved the manual closing creation screen to make finding the right settlement office faster and more accurate for your transaction:
- Search by name or email: Enter either, and we’ll surface the matching office.
- Fuzzy matching: Minor typos or close spellings still return the correct office.
- No more duplicates: We automatically remove known duplicate office records from the search results.
eNote deactivation date
MERS now provides the deactivation date of eNotes via API. and we display this information so you can more easily track and report on deactivated eNotes. The date now appears in the:
- eNote page
- eVault dashboard
- eVault dashboard export
- eNote Inventory Report
Improved date interpretation
For those using our Funding QC solution, we’ve released an enhancement that significantly improves the tool’s ability to recognize and interpret handwritten signing dates.
This update reduces the number of false errors you will see, meaning your team will spend less time reviewing dates that don’t require correction. While some false errors will still occur, the tool is now much more accurate at only surfacing date issues that require attention.
