The contact status on the Automator indicates if the notary has been sent a signing request, if they have marked themselves available or declined, or if there is a reason the request was not sent to the notary.
The following statuses may show on the Automator once the request is sent to the notary: Sent, Call Only, Available, Declined, Appt conflict, Unavailable, Skipped, No Commission (with the state), Unreachable, or Busy.
Sent
The Sent status means the notary was sent a text or email (depending on their settings) and will appear until the notary responds to the request.
Call Only
The Call Only status means the notary does not prefer text or email to receive requests and will need to be called in order to know about the signing.
Available
The Available status means the notary has responded to the request as available and wants to be assigned to the order.
Declined
The status says Declined when the notary replies as not available.
They have the option to leave a reason, which can be viewed when you hover over the status.
The response will also appear in the Activity section of the order.
Appt conflict
The status says Appt conflict when the notary has another signing within 60 minutes of this signing appointment. For example, if a notary is doing a signing at 10 am the conflict window is from 9 am - 11 am.
Unavailable
A notary is Unavailable if they've turned on Snooze to temporarily opt out of receiving signing requests or if they have set themselves as Out of office. When you hover over the status, the reason for this status appears.
Skipped
A notary being Skipped means they already have 6 signing appointments for the day.
No commission
When the status shows No commission that means the notary does not have a current commission for the state. They may be within the search for the signing radius but cannot perform the signing because they are out of state.
In the example below, the city and zip code were tied to a Washington (WA) address. Yet, the state was input as California (CA). We pulled up a list of Washington (WA) notaries to match the zip code, yet when we went to contact them there was an error because the order has California (CA) listed as the state.
Unreachable
If a notary shows as Unreachable, it means the notary does not have a valid email address. This can sometimes happen if they send our emails to spam. By law, at a certain point we must remove them from our mailing list. If you see this on a notary profile, feel free to contact support.
