Consolidating Team Members with Multiple Accounts

Suppose your company has two or more Snapdocs domains; for example, company1.snapdocs.com and company2.snapdocs.com. Your team members were required to create two separate accounts using two unique email addresses to access both domains' closings.

With the launch of the Multi-Company User feature, company admins can start consolidating those users with multiple accounts into one account that allows access to all Snapdocs domains to which the users have authorization.

To consolidate these users with multiple accounts, you can either update the existing account’s email address, or deactivate and recreate a new user account.

Update Existing Account’s Email Address

Use the following steps to update the existing account’s email address.

Step 1: Log in to your first Snapdocs domain as an administrator.

Step 2: At the top right of the homepage, select on your name, then select Settings.

Step 3: From the Setting page, select Team.

Step 4: Locate the user with multiple accounts, then select the Edit (pencil) icon.

Step 5: Update the user’s email address to the email address that they will use to log in to all of your Snapdocs domains. For example, Sally Signer’s account with company1 uses the email address as Sally@lender1.com; while her account with company2 uses the email address as Sally@lender2.com. You want to update her account with company 2 to use the email address as Sally@lender1.com.

Step 6: Click Save.

Repeat steps 1-6 for all other accounts until all the accounts use the same email address.

Deactivate & Recreate User Accounts

Use the following steps to deactivate and recreate a user account.

Step 1: Log in to your first Snapdocs domain as an administrator.

Step 2: At the top right of the homepage, click on your name, then select Settings.

Step 3: From the Setting page, select Team.

Step 4: Locate the user with multiple accounts, then select the Edit (pencil) icon.

Step 5: Select Deactivate user.

Step 6: Go back to the Team page, then select add team member.

Step 7: Recreate the user using the email address that they will use to log in to all of your Snapdocs domains.
For example, Sally Signer’s account with company1 uses the email address as Sally@lender1.com; while her account with company2 uses the email address as Sally@lender2.com. You want to deactivate her account with company2, then recreate her account using the email address as Sally@lender1.com.

Step 8: Select Save.

Repeat steps 1-8 for all other accounts until all the accounts use the same email address.
