On a notary order, a consumer can preview the documents if given access to the order. To use this feature, you must turn on the setting at a client level.
Note: Only a client user with admin permission can turn this setting on.
Company View and Settings
Turn on the consumer preview setting
Within each client, select On for Allow consumers to preview documents. This enables the feature for orders that are completed with that client.
Send Preview Document to the Consumer
When you create an order you will add the consumer’s name and contact information. To send the preview document(s) to the consumer, a valid email address must be included in their contact information.
Note: If you have two-factor authentication enabled for consumers (the Require consumers to authenticate before accessing closing docs setting, in your order settings), they will have to type in a code they receive in a text message to confirm their identity before they can access docs on their order. If this setting is enabled, a phone number must be added for all consumers on the order before they can access their docs as well.
Keep the checkbox for Send a confirmation, give access to basic info and, if enabled, preview order docs selected.
You can see the consumer's actions in the Activity section of the order.
Consumer View and Settings
Once the consumer logs in, they can select the Preview my docs button.
They will be taken to an interface where they can view the documents, ask questions, and note when they have finished reviewing them.
It is important to note that in order to flip between document packages, the consumer will have to select the document name under “Currently viewing” and then select each document they want to view. They will then be able to scroll through each page by selecting the Next and Prev buttons.
When the consumer selects Questions?, a message box opens where they can enter questions. The questions are added as comments to the order. You will be notified of the question and can respond directly on the order. The consumer receives your response in an email as well as see it on their order view.
On the last page of the loan document, they are prompted to select the I’m Finished button to note they have finished reviewing the document.
The consumer will still have access to the documents in Snapdocs and can view them at any time.
