How to Submit a Partial Redraw

The Partial Redraw solution is for when only a few documents in the original package needs corrections or updates.

Follow the instructions below to submit a partial redraw to replace or add only those documents directly on Snapdocs. If you would like to submit a partial redraw from your LOS, please contact your admin for more information.

If you are having trouble with your partial redraws, please review the most common errors listed below. If you still need assistance, our support team is happy to assist you at support@snapdocs.com.

Important Note: It is not recommended to utilize partial redraws when a majority of documents need to be replaced or when closing information needs to be updated.

Instructions

Step 1: In the Documents section, select Update documents and then Add redraw documents.

Common Errors

No Matching closing found

The existing closing must match the following requirements to receive the redraw documents properly. If the closing does not meet all these criteria, Snapdocs will identify the error and notify the sender to verify the desired outcome.

  • An original closing must have already been created.

  • Must match the GUID (if provided), file number, and consumer info sent in the redraw email.

  • If the system locates multiple matching closings, it will add the redraw documents to the most recently active closing.

  • Closing must be in an open state (not closed or canceled).

  • Closing must not have an appointment scheduled in the past.

  • Closing must not have the signing appointment already marked as complete.

Majority of documents and/or closing information needs to be updated

It is not recommended to use the partial redraw workflow for closings that require the replacement of a majority of documents and/or require updated closing information (Borrower info, closing date/time, settlement info) being provided to Snapdocs. We recommend that you cancel the original closing and create a new closing with the new closing package.

Trying to only remove documents

Partial redraws cannot be used to only remove documents either, a full redraw is recommended if you only need to remove documents from the closing package.

Documents are missing from the redraw package

Our system will remove all documents that match the document type of the document you send for the redraw. So if you only send page 1 of 4 in the redraw, the redraw package will only contain page 1.

For example, if you send an updated 1003 via partial redraw, our system will remove all 1003s from the original package and replace them with the new 1003(s) that you sent in the redraw package. Please ensure you send all documents of that type when you send a partial redraw to Snapdocs.

Dual Borrower closings

When partial redraws are sent from the LOS, they are converted to rush docs (AKA wet sign documents) if the system recognizes that it’s a dual borrower closing.

On the Snapdocs closing page, adding a redraw is not an option and will be grayed out.

The closing is within 2 hours

If the wet signing appointment time is within 2 hours, the partial redraw option will be grayed out on Snapdocs. We recommend uploading the redraw package as a rush document instead. If you submit the partial redraw via your LOS, the documents will be automatically processed as rush documents.
