-
If the line is highlighted red, this means that the email has been soft bounced, spammed, dropped, or rejected by the carrier.
Definitions
-
Send: We sent the email to the provider and received a successful response to the request to send the email. This doesn't mean that the email has actually been sent by the provider, just that they've accepted the request.
-
Delivered: The provider has successfully delivered the email to the recipient's email server. Usually that means that it's in the recipient's inbox, but it's possible for spam filters to have intercepted it.
-
Open: The recipient has opened the email.
-
Click, Deferred, Rejected, or Bounced: These are variations of the same theme. The email was rejected by the recipient's email server for some reason. Often it's because the email address doesn't actually exist. Sometimes it's because the email server is down and can't receive email. It could be that they thought we were spam.
