Due to DocuSign limitations, all document packages uploaded to Snapdocs must be below a combined 60 MB in size.
Uploading Original, Rush, or Redraw Packages
Most closing packages will process without error, the average file size of these files is typically less than 10 MB. In rare cases, a closing package will be sent to Snapdocs that exceeds this file size limit and our system will be unable to process that closing until an updated, smaller file is sent to Snapdocs. When this occurs, users will receive an email notification from our support team informing them of the limitation. Here are some suggestions to reduce the file size and successfully process the closing:
Uploading Signed Documents or Scanbacks
Each signed document package must be below 60 MB is size.
How to Reduce File Size
Adobe Acrobat
If Adobe Acrobat is available, a user may try to reduce the file size within this tool.
Step 1: Open the .pdf file in Adobe Acrobat\
Step 2: Click "File" > "Reduce File Size" and save the new .pdf file to your computer
Step 3: Re-upload the closing package directly to the Snapdocs Closing page.
Tip: Take note of the original file size and the updated file size to ensure the closing package has reduced a significant amount
Encompass
When ordering documents and printing them to the designated eFolder during closing creation. Consider checking the "greyscale box" which can dramatically reduce the size of the .pdf files being sent to Snapdocs.
If the above steps are unsuccessful in reducing the size of your closing package, you may need to reach out to your Encompass Admin to help investigate and identify why certain closing packages are exceeding this limitation.
Converting the closing type to wet is a last resort option as well.
