Notary Connect: How to Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication

When logging in, client and company users must pass multi-factor authentication (MFA). You can choose between SMS or an Authentication App. This allows for increased security in the manner that best suits your needs.

Any authenticator app should work with this process. Frequently used ones include Google Authenticator, Authy and Microsoft Authenticator. If you will be completing this on a work provided device, please consult with your IT to choose the best option.

How to set up or reset your MFA method

Step 1: Navigate to your login page for Snapdocs. The specific URL depends on your individual company, it is important to confirm with your Snapdocs Admin that you are using the correct URL.

Step 2: Select the Log In button.

Step 3: Enter your email address and password into the text boxes. Select Log In.

Step 5: If you select Phone (If you select authenticator app, proceed to the authenticator steps below)

Note: If you selected Phone, your number must be a US number and be able to receive SMS and/or Voice calls. If not, please choose the authenticator app method instead.

Enter in your phone number and select Continue

Text or Call

A code will be sent to your phone via the method of your choosing. Enter this into the “Enter the 6-digit code” text box. Select Continue

Enter the Code

Step 5: If you select Google Authenticator or Similar (If you select Phone, use the Phone steps above)

If you selected Google Authenticator or a similar OTP (one time password) application, scan the QR code on the screen with your preferred authenticator app to add a new account.

Tip: If you are having trouble scanning the code, select Trouble Scanning? This will provide you with a code to enter instead.

Enter the code the app provides in the “Enter your one-time code” text box. Select Continue

Scan Code

Step 6: A recovery code will then be presented to you. If you no longer have your device and are unable to receive a sign in code via text or authenticator app, your recovery code will be the only way for you to access your account.

Copy and save the code somewhere safe. Then check “I have safely recorded this code” when done. Select Continue

The recovery code will only be shown once so please make sure you save it.
