Notary Connect platform updates include:
- Enhanced auto-assign settings for notaries
- Ability to add witness requirements at the product level
- Special instructions added to notary signing notifications
- Automatic 1-hour signing reminders
Enhanced auto-assign settings for notaries
Auto-assign settings have been enhanced with expanded criteria for favorited and non-favorited notaries—giving users greater control over notary selection.
For example, users can now filter among favorited notaries by choosing additional criteria that must be met before a notary is auto-assigned.
Ability to add witness requirements at the product level
Witness requirements and fees can now be set at the product level. Once set, notaries must acknowledge witness requirements before accepting the signing.
Special instructions added to notary signing notification
A special instructions section has been added to the “New Signing Notification” sent to notaries. When special instructions are added, notaries will be required to acknowledge these instructions before accepting the signing.
Automatic 1-hour signing reminders
A 1-hour reminder is now automatically sent to all notaries before each signing. These reminders are now standard and can no longer be disabled by notaries. Any special instructions and/or witness requirements will be included in these notifications.
How reminders are delivered:
Notaries with a cell phone number listed in their profile will receive reminders as a text message. If no cell number is available, the reminder will be sent via email.
