How to be Removed from a Signing Order
We understand that occasionally you'll need to be removed from an order that you've been assigned to.
For most orders, the most efficient way to be removed from an order is by commenting on the order directly. You can also find the scheduling company's email and phone number using the instructions here.
We have also have a setting for companies where they can choose to allow you (the notary) to remove yourself from an order if you are no longer able to accommodate the signing.
This does not cancel the order, it will just remove you from it. Once you have removed yourself from the signing, we will notify the order scheduler and begin searching for a new notary.

Important reminders and considerations:
- This feature is only available on orders where the lender has opted into it. Not all orders will have this option.
- Removing yourself from an order will result in no payment.
- Removing yourself frequently from orders will negatively impact your notary rating.
- You will not be able to remove yourself from orders if the appointment is within 2 hours.
How to Remove Yourself from a Signing
Step 1: Login to Snapdocs and open the order you want to remove yourself from.
Step 2: On the lower left of the order, select Remove myself from signing.

Tip: If the option is grayed out, the appointment time is within 2 hours. If the button is not there, the company has chosen not to utilize this feature.

Step 3: Select a reason for removing yourself from the order then select Remove. We will then notify the order scheduler and begin searching for a new notary.
