How to Reset Your Password

If you are having trouble logging in, you may need to reset your password.

Step 1: Go to app.snapdocs.com and select Forgot your password? to reset your password.

Step 2: Enter the email address that your Snapdocs account is under and select the Submit to send yourself a reset password email.

Step 3: After you select Submit, the page will reload and you will see a confirmation message that a link to reset your password has been sent to the email address you entered. 

If you don't receive an email to reset your password after a few minutes, you can select click here to request a new link to send yourself a new password reset email.

Step 4: Check your inbox for a password reset email from Snapdocs. If you haven't received an email after a few minutes, please check your spam folder to see if the email ended up there.

The email typically looks like the image below. Select Reset password in the email to reset your password.

Step 5: You will be taken to a page that asks you to complete two factor authentication. Two factor authentication is required in order to prevent an unauthorized user from resetting your password.

Step 6: Enter in the authentication code that was provided to you via text message. Then select Verify code to submit your authentication code.

Note: If you're having trouble receiving it via text message, select Receive a voice call instead to request your authentication code via voice call. You can also select send another code to request a new code. If you've requested multiple codes, please be sure to use the most recent code.

Step 7: After you’ve entered the correct authentication code, you'll be able to set a new password and will see Set My Password. 

If you enter an incorrect authentication code, you'll see an error message that says “Incorrect code. Please try again.” Please try again by requesting a new authentication code.

Step 8: Enter in the new password that you'd like to use - just make sure that your password is at least 8 characters long, has 3 out of the 4 criteria, and is not one of the last 10 passwords you've used for your Snapdocs account. Select Set My Password to save your new password.

Step 9: If you see an error message saying that the password has been used previously or associated with a data breach; please choose another password. To increase the security of your account, your new password cannot be one of the last 10 passwords you've previously used.

Step 10: After you've successfully reset your password, you will be brought to your dashboard. You will see a banner at the top of the page that confirms that your password was successfully updated.

Note: If you select Forgot Your Password multiple times you will receive multiple emails to reset your password. In order to reset it, you must select the last email sent. If you try to reset it from an earlier reset email, you will receive an error message. Make sure you select the link in the last email you received to reset your password.
