ECLOSING PLATFORM
Restrict settlement access to canceled closings
In the event of a canceled closing, settlement’s access to the closing will be automatically restricted. When a closing is canceled, packages will no longer be available for download/upload, and all tasks will be collapsed. A banner notification will appear on the closing, indicating the closing has been canceled and documents are unavailable. All additional page functionality will be disabled to settlement, with the exception of in-app messaging.

Update to scanback reminder email notifications
The messaging and frequency of scanback reminder emails have been updated to provide better support for settlement partners. A new email reminder will now be sent at 5:00 PM on the day of signing, regardless of if an appointment time has been added to the eClosing platform.
To view or change reminder email settings, click Settings > Emails and navigate to the below notifications:

Create and modify custom fields
Snapdocs now supports the creation of custom fields within the eVault. Custom fields are internal to your organization, designed to help track eNote data within the Snapdocs eVault. Please note, custom fields are not values stored within the eNote or supported by other eVaults.
Admin users can create and manage custom fields within the configuration section of the eVault. Custom field values can be managed in three ways:
-
Manually within the eNote page
-
Automatically via an auto-validation upload
-
via API

Easily download the MERS Controller History Report
Snapdocs eVault now automatically downloads the MERS Controller History Report. eVault users can download and print the report during the Convert to Paper and Certified Paper Copy processes. Previously, eVault users had to manually obtain this report from MERS.

New eNote deactivation reason
With the recent MERS updates, Snapdocs now supports a new eNote deactivation reason of “Paper Replacement.” The Paper Replacement reason is used to deactivate an active electronic record when the digital asset has been replaced by a paper note. This new deactivation reason was created since the “Converted to Paper” deactivation is only appropriate when the digital asset was converted (rather than replaced with a new one).
