The Smart Radius will save schedulers time and help find notaries in remote locations.
The Smart Radius is a feature that is on globally for everyone. This feature will check how many notaries are available in the set radius. If the number produces less than 50 notaries in the area, we will automatically increase the search radius up to 75 miles until we find 50 or more notaries in the given perimeters. If we find enough notaries after increasing the radius to 30 miles, for example, we will not auto-increase the radius any further.
Please note: The Smart Radius will not interfere with the auto-start features. If we do not find enough notaries within 75 miles, the automator will still auto-start to reach out to the notaries displayed.
The automator will always start at the default radius entered below. Before the automator starts, we will check to make sure there are enough notaries in the pool. If we detect fewer than 50 notaries, we will increase the radius to 25, 30, 50, and finally 75 miles at a time. We will not increase the radius over 75 miles as most notaries typically will not travel farther than that for a signing.
In the screenshot below, only a handful of notaries appeared in this search. With Smart Radius, we automatically increased the radius incrementally (up to 75 miles) before the automator even starts. This tells your schedulers that there are very few notaries in this region. They can reach out to the notaries listed and if they are declining or not responding, it may be best to add a travel fee or adjust other criteria.
