Completing the setup of your Snapdocs notary signing agent account by becoming Snapdocs Verified can help with receiving signing notifications.
There are four (sometimes five, depending on the state you are commissioned in) components to being Snapdocs Verified:
-
Notary commission
-
Background check report
-
Errors & Omissions insurance policy
-
Verified ID
-
Notary bond (if applicable)
All four components must be verified to be listed as Snapdocs Verified. If one of your documents gets rejected you should receive an email. You will also see a red number next to Credentials in the left column as seen here:
To verify your credentials
Select Credentials in the left column of your dashboard.
You will see a status panel in the upper right corner of your Credentials page. If it says Snapdocs Approved: Yes with green check marks next to all of the required credential documents, this means you are Snapdocs Verified.
If it says Snapdocs Approved: Pending, this means that you have credentials documents that are either missing, rejected or pending.
Each required credential document will display an icon that indicates its verification status.
Green check mark: verified credential document
Yellow check mark: credential document is pending review
Red exclamation point: missing or rejected credential document
If you hover over the icon, you should see the status appear in black. As you scroll through this page, you will see all the credentials you have uploaded. Documents that have been approved will appear with a green check mark.
A document that has been rejected will appear in red with an X and a reason. Please note that companies that view your profile will not see this, they will only see if you have been verified or not. Only you will be able to see this red rejection message with the reason. If your document or credential was rejected, please review the relevant article here to correct it.
ID verification is something you have to complete on Snapdocs and instructions can be found here. We currently only accept driver’s licenses as a form of ID Verification. If you have completed this successfully it will appear on your credentials page stating “Verified Driver’s License.”
