Instead of having to remember to send documents a certain amount of time before the signing and responding to questions from notaries about when docs will be available, you can schedule the release of docs on your orders or have the documents sent automatically when the client is finished uploading them.
In your Company Settings (Admin > Company Settings > General > Settings) you can determine when uploaded documents will be released to notaries on all your orders:
In the Document Release Settings section, you can choose a default amount of time before a signing when uploaded docs on orders will be automatically released to the notary: 2, 4, 8, 12, or 24 hours before the signing, and/or immediately when the client has indicated they're finished uploading them. If docs are uploaded after the scheduled release time, they will be sent out automatically as soon as they become available as well.
Note: Documents will not auto-release if the order is set to a fuzzy time (ASAP, TBD, in the morning, etc.)
After docs have been uploaded, as long as a time and date for the appointment have been set, you will be able to see when they are scheduled to be released on the order page by selecting Documents at the top of the Documents section. You can also select Cancel Release to cancel the automatic release of docs here if need be.
For their part, notaries can see on their dashboard and on their order page when docs are expected to be released, which helps them plan their schedule accordingly.
Then, when docs are released as scheduled, there will be a comment added to the order for your team to see that docs were sent out:
If you are using Resware to push orders and documents to Snapdocs, this feature will function just the same. Regardless of when you push the docs over, they will be released the selected amount of time before the signing (unless they are released after that time has passed, in which case they will be released immediately).
Note: If you do not choose an amount of time for when docs are to be sent, docs will not be sent out automatically.
