Document Release Settings

With Snapdocs, you can conveniently schedule the release of documents for your orders or configure them to be sent automatically once the client has finished uploading.

You no longer need to worry about manually sending documents at a specific time before the signing or answering inquiries from notaries about document availability. You can easily set a schedule for when documents will be released for your orders, or you can opt to have them sent automatically once the client completes the upload process.

In your Company Settings, you can determine when uploaded documents will be released to notaries on all your orders in the "Document Release Settings" section.

Document Release Settings 1

You can choose a default amount of time before a signing when uploaded docs on orders will be automatically released to the notary: 2, 4, 8, 12, or 24 hours before the signing, and/or immediately when the client has indicated they're finished uploading them. If docs are uploaded after the scheduled release time, they will be sent out automatically as soon as they become available as well.

Note: Documents will not auto-release if the order is set to a fuzzy time (ASAP, TBD, in the morning, etc).

Document Release Settings 2

After docs have been uploaded, as long as a time and date for the appointment have been set, you will be able to see when they are scheduled to be released on the order page by selecting Documents at the top of the Documents section. You can also select Cancel Release to cancel the automatic release of docs here if need be.

For their part, notaries can see on their dashboard and on their order page when docs are expected to be released, which helps them plan their schedule accordingly.

Then, when docs are released as scheduled, there will be a comment added to the order for your team to see that docs were sent out:

If you are using Resware to push orders and documents to Snapdocs, this feature will function just the same. Regardless of when you push the docs over, they will be released the selected amount of time before the signing (unless they are released after that time has passed, in which case they will be released immediately).

Note: If you do not choose an amount of time for when docs are to be sent, docs will not be sent out automatically.
