Make ability to search for notaries via email address in pre-assignment visible in the UI

Users can now use name or email address to search for a pre-arranged notary during order creation. Type the notary name or email address into the pre-arranged notary field on the order create page to search for your pre-arranged notary on Snapdocs.

Enhancements 

Support preassignment of notary for Notary Connect on Order Creation

Notary Connect is a feature where the Snapdocs order is connected to a Snapdocs closing. This enhancement update adds the functionality to pre-assign a notary on Notary Connect orders since notary information will be shared with lender and settlement agents via email.

Bug Fixes

Orders still showing under "not yet shipped" filter after FedEx scans label

Users noticed that some labels were still showing under the “Not yet shipped” dashboard filter after the label was scanned by FedEx. In order to provide a more real-time shipping status and decrease the number of “lagging indicators”, we’ve increased the number of FedEx statuses that ingest.

Order Page needs to be refreshed after Shipping method Updates

When a scheduler updates the document shipping method, they can now see the updated shipping method and – if present – the updated FedEx label without needing to refresh the page.

Lender comment appears to be coming from settlement

When a Snapdocs order is connected to a Snapdocs closing via a feature called “Notary Connect”, lenders can comment on notary orders. When that happens, schedulers receive an email notification. That email was incorrectly attributing that comment to the settlement company – rather than the lender. We’ve updated that email to fix the issue.

February 28th, 2023 Product Updates

Changes for Resubmitting Notary Credentials

If a notary credential upload is rejected, a new message will populate to users suggesting they upload the document again if they believe the rejection is an error. The re-upload will trigger a manual re-review. Please take a look at the screenshot below.

Improve "Share Credentials" Feature for Notaries 

Snapdocs has made updates to improve the notary share credential process! Notaries can now easily share their credentials with companies and individuals through their Snapdocs account.

When a user is on the orders dashboard, the notifications count should update in real time without refreshing the page.

Create shared post for "Notary downloaded docs" on the Closing and Scheduling Activity Logs 

On a Notary Connect order/closing, across both the Closings and Scheduling activity logs…

  1. Use our pattern of sharing the Scheduling “comment” to the Closings activity log

  2. When the notary downloads a document, update the copy on both activity logs to

If notary connect is not enabled for the lender, do NOT show the “Notary order” section

Indicate in closings that the scheduler has started their search for a notary

  1. When an order is already linked to a closing, and the scheduler has started the automator, update the copy in the “Signing appointment” section of the Closings UI under “Mobile notary” to read, “Scheduler has started notary search.”

  2. When a scheduler has already started the automator but a notary has not been assigned and then a closing is linked, the copy in the “Signing appointment” section of the Closings UI under “Mobile notary” should read, “Scheduler has started notary search.”

We've added a customizable option to include notary or client fee on notary confirmation PDF.

Dashboard Update

When a user is on the dashboard, task-based navigation counts and order tables will now update in real time. You will no longer need to refresh the page for these items to update.
