At Snapdocs, we're trying to build a smarter notification system so that you can receive more signings that might be a good fit for you and less of the rest.
In order for us to learn your preferences over time, we encourage you to respond to as many of the notifications that you receive as possible. Every time you respond that you're either available or unavailable, you're helping us learn more about which signings you're interested in, which signings you're not interested in, and why you're not interested in certain signings.

What is my response rate?
Your response rate is the percentage of signing notifications you've received in the last 7 days where you've responded as either available or unavailable.
How do I see my response rate?
Step 1: Login to your account and select Signing Notifications in the upper right-hand corner.
Step 2: You should see your response rate percentage in the popup that appears. Select on your response rate percentage to get more information.

How is the response rate helpful for me?
Your response rate can help provide some insight into the notifications you're receiving. If your response rate is currently high, is it because you're receiving a lot of signing opportunities that you're interested in? Is it because you're utilizing all the different response options provided?
If your response rate is currently low, is it because you're receiving a lot of notifications from companies who you don't want to work with? Is it because you're receiving a lot of notifications of signings where you feel the fee is too low? Is it because you're receiving notifications when you're actually busy or on vacation?
If you're finding that you're responding to a lot of the notifications you receive, that's great! Every single response, especially whether or not you're available for a signing and why, helps us learn more about your preferences. If you're finding that you're receiving a lot of notifications that you aren't interested in or aren't responding to, there may be a reason why and we may be able to help. In many cases, we offer tools or features to help you make your notifications work to your advantage:
- If you're receiving notifications from companies who you don't want to work with, you can block companies.
- If you're receiving notifications from companies when you're busy and don't have time to respond to them, snooze your notifications.
- If you're receiving notifications when you're going to be out on vacation, set an out of office.
- If you're receiving notifications for signings whose fee is too low, let the company know and counter with your own fee - the company may be willing to meet your fee.
- If you're receiving notifications where the signing is too far, let the company know.
Will I be penalized if I don't have a high response rate?
A notary who has a high response rate isn't necessarily better than a notary who has a lower response rate, or vice versa. We realize that as a mobile notary signing agent, you're probably very busy and may not have time to respond to every single notification. Don't worry - you won't be penalized for not responding to all notifications or selectively responding to your notifications. It's also normal to have fluctuations in your response rate, so don't stress if your response rate goes up or down.
There's no need to stress about your response rate, as it does not affect your feedback or ranking.
Your responses are, however, valuable to us and to signing services and title companies. The more information we can gather about the signings you're interested in as well as the signings you're not interested in and why, the smarter we can make our notification system to show you more relevant opportunities. The more you respond to companies, the more exposure you'll get to them. Remember, even if you're responding as unavailable, the company may be willing to negotiate with you.
Why is my response rate at 0% when I haven't received any notifications?
Your response rate only reflects the past 7 days. If you haven't received any notifications during that time, there's nothing to respond to, which is why your response rate will be at 0% if you haven't received any notifications in the past 7 days.
If this is the case, it doesn't mean that having a 0% response rate is bad. You can consider 0% as the baseline, as every signing agent starts here. With every notification you receive, you'll have an opportunity to increase your response rate by responding as either available or unavailable.
To reiterate, if you find yourself with a 0% response rate because you haven't received any notifications in the last 7 days, this does not negatively impact you. It just means that there hasn't been anything to respond to! Remember, your response rate does not actually affect you on a regular basis and fluctuations can be normal. The more important idea to keep in mind is that your responses matter, and if you find yourself constantly ignoring notifications from certain companies, it may be better to block them so that when you do receive a notification, it's more likely to be from a company who you would actually like to work with.
