What is Snapdocs Verified?

Being Snapdocs Verified, means every notary with a green check mark next to their name has uploaded their credentials to be verified by Snapdocs.

Requirements to be Snapdocs Verified

  •  Notary commission

  •  Bond (if applicable)

  •  Background check report

  •  E&O Insurance policy

  •  Government issued Driver’s License

We have an in-house team that checks each document to vouch for its legitimacy. Each credential must be reviewed twice before we consider it verified.

Note: Due to the thoroughness of our process to evaluate notary credentials, there may be a PENDING notice next to certain credentials if they are still under review. If you see one, chances are it will be gone by the next day. If the PENDING notice is there for more than seven days, please reach out to support@snapdocs.com.

If they are not verified

If a notary is not Snapdocs Verified, there is a section on the notary’s profile called “Not Snapdocs Verified because.” This section shows which credentials are missing or expired. The example below shows the notary's E&O insurance has not been verified, their background check is expired, and they have not uploaded a valid driver's license.

We help ensure notaries keep their credentials up to date by sending two email notification reminders:

  • The first email notification is sent 14 days before their credential in question is set to expire.

  • The second notification is sent when the credential actually does expire (if they haven't already taken the necessary action).

The only exception is with Driver’s Licenses - for those, we send an email alert to the notary the day after the document expires.
